On the 17 January Transition Town Totnes and the wonderful, hilarious, 100% renewable, highly biodiverse and inherently local Matt Harvey, Liv Torc and Beryl the Feral of Wondermentalist Cabaret are transporting you into the future – with an all day workshop and evening cabaret.
• Spend! The day creating stories, news pieces, TV news reports, lonely hearts columns, car adverts from Totnes in 2030!
• Perform! Your Transition Tales at a special Transition / Wondermentalist Cabaret the same evening!
• Weep! With laughter at the collective hilarity unleashed by the Wondermentalist work shoppers!
• Imagine! A happier, healthier, cleaner, brighter, altogether more wonderful Totnes in 2030!
• Make an Idiot! Of yourself. At the evening’s cabaret
• Make History! Or rather make up some future history, as it were... but in a history-making kind of way
So come join Transition Town Totnes and the poets of the Wondermentalist Cabaret as we imagine the future of Totnes in the year 2030, beyond credit crunch, beyond climate change, beyond peak oil and for many of us, beyond a dry night’s sleep… it’ll be beyond fun, it’ll be beyond inspiring and way more fun than despair – guaranteed to make you feel a whole lot better about the future.
Workshop: Saturday January 17th, 12-4pm. Totnes Methodist Hall, £5.
Cabaret: same day, The Barrelhouse, 8-10pm. £5, £8 to come to both.
